Kabangka Mentorship Program
The Kabangka Mentorship Program is a program dedicated for young Filipina/o/x-Canadians to connect with trailblazing leaders in their areas of interest, academia, or professional pursuits, while building strong relationships and connections.
Three ways to grow
The 6-month program focuses on 3 Streams:
Professional: for mentees seeking mentorship in their professional career
Academic: for mentees seeking mentorship in their academic pursuits, masters and doctoral
Kapwa: for mentees to discuss other intersections of their social identities beyond career or academia with a facilitator (sexual and gender identities, political, organizing/advocacy, immigration experiences)
Duration: The Kabangka Mentorship team requests a minimum of one meeting per month between mentors and mentees from September 2023 - March 2024.
Mentee Callout
Time Commitment: Meet with your mentor once a month from September 2023 to March 2024. Meetings will take place virtually.

Depending on your mentee’s goals and interests, mentors may provide advice on topics such as: academics, careers, being Filipino/a/x and other intersecting identities, self-care and wellness.
